BOEING 737 – 6/7/8/900 WITH CFM56 B1/B2 REFRESHER COURSE

 

ABOUT

The Boeing 737 – 6/7/8/900 with CFM56 powerplant B1/B2 refresher course has been designed to give you a complete technical refresher of all aircraft systems. The course covers all mechanical and avionics systems, with a quiz at the end of each ATA chapter. We also include any relevant incidents, Airworthiness Directives and maintenance incidents. On successful completion you will be able to download your serial numbered certificate.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

Our courses scale perfectly to PC, Laptop, tablet, android and iPhone. You must have an internet connection to use our courses.

STUDY TIME

Course completion time varies with the individual; however, we estimate approximately 36 hours will be required. You have 3 months to complete the course and can stop and restart at the same position with your progress saved.

WHY USE OUR TECHNICAL REFRESHER COURSE?

Our technical refresher courses are aimed at assisting an engineer with current Part-66 Certificate of Release to Service (CRS) authority to regain an approval on an aircraft type that is already on their license, i.e. you should already hold the B737 NG series on your licence and have 6 months aircraft maintenance experience in the preceding 2 years.

Under the terms of Part-66, a license is valid as long as an engineer works on maintaining aircraft for 6 months out of every two preceding years. If you have maintained aircraft for 6 months out of the preceding 2 years, then our courses will benefit you. If an engineer is unable to provide evidence of this experience, our courses unfortunately will not help, and neither are they designed for this.

The issuing of a CRS is covered under Part 145, and it is the responsibility of the Quality Manager to ensure all staff are suitably trained and experienced to issue a CRS.

For example, if an engineer has not certified the Boeing 737 NG for over 2 years, there is nothing stopping a Quality Manager issuing an approval, however they will have to comply with Part 145.A.35;

  • “Certifying staff and support staff (a) In addition to the appropriate requirements of points 145.A.30(g) and (h), the organisation shall ensure that certifying staff and support staff have an adequate understanding of the relevant aircraft and/or components to be maintained together with the associated organisation procedures. In the case of certifying staff, this shall be accomplished before the issue or re-issue of the certification authorisation.”

This is the purpose of the Trans Global Training technical refreshing course; to ensure that you, as a licenced certifying engineer, have an adequate understanding of the relevant aircraft.

Part 145.A.35 (d) also states; “The organisation shall ensure that all certifying staff and support staff receive sufficient continuation training in each two year period to ensure that such staff have up-to-date knowledge of relevant technology,…”. The Trans Global Training technical refresher course also allows Quality Managers to comply with Part 145’s requirement for continuation training.
